Here is a delicious breakfast smoothie recipe I whipped up for after yoga class.
There have been a lot of cherries and nectarines in the CSA farm share recently, so I had to think of a good way to use them. We’ve been eating plenty of cherries just out of a bowl. A smoothie is a great way to enjoy the two fruits together. The cherry nectarine smoothie was born.
So refreshing and filling. Smoothies make such a great snack or breakfast for me. They are quick, easy, and perfect to bring along in the car for a meal on the go.
- Handful of raw almonds
- ½ cup pitted cherries
- 1 nectarine pitted
- 2 frozen bananas
- ½ cup filtered water
- 1 tablespoon oats
- 1 teaspoon flax meal
- splash vanilla extract
- Put all ingredients into your Vitamix or high-speed blender.
- Give it a whiz; make it smooth. (This is a smoothie after all.)
- Garnish with some almonds.
- Stick a straw in and enjoy!
